CONSULTATION FEES
Consultation fees must be paid in full prior to Consultation and are applied toward the Sisterlocks®️ Establishment Package.
For Microloc(k), Traditional Loc Refinement, and TRANSFER Sisterlocks®️ clients, the consultation fee is separate from your service fee and not applied toward your service total.
Please note: All consultation fees are nonrefundable.

To reserve your appointment, a 25% deposit is required for the following services:

Deposits help secure your time on the schedule and ensure a smooth, prepared experience for us both.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Missed or canceled appointments without proper notice will result in the loss of your deposit.
CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations made within 24 hours or failure to show up will result in a forfeited deposit.
Repeated no-shows may require full prepayment for future appointments.
LATE ARRIVALS
A $30 late fee will be charged for every 30 minutes past your scheduled start time.
Arriving more than 30 minutes late may require rescheduling, and your deposit will be forfeited.
LIABILITY
Every head of hair has its own beautiful personality and responds in its own way. While every service and product is chosen with care and professionalism, neither the Natural Hair Care Specialist nor Whimsy by Mel, LLC can be held liable for any unexpected reactions, damages, or outcomes that may occur as a result of services, product use, or improper home care or maintenance by the Client.

BOTANICALS SHIPPING POLICY
Whimsy by Mel, LLC offers complimentary hand delivery within a 15-mile radius of ZIP code 27292.
Local hand-delivered orders are $25.
If you live locally but prefer your blend to be mailed, or if you are outside the 15-mile radius, your total will be $30 plus $5 shipping and handling.

REFUND POLICY
At Whimsy by Mel LLC, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalized natural hair care services and products. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we strive to deliver every service and product with care, integrity, and professionalism.
Refunds for services are generally not provided once a service has been completed, as our work involves time, expertise, and materials. If a service does not meet agreed-upon standards, we may, at our discretion, offer a correction, adjustment, or complimentary follow-up service to ensure your satisfaction.
Refunds for products are available only if the product is defective, damaged upon delivery, or materially different from its description. Requests must be made within 3 days of receiving the product, and proof of purchase and damage is required. Products may need to be returned at the client’s expense unless defective or damaged due to our error. Please note that products which have been used beyond approximately 1/3 of the total amount, custom orders, or personalized packages are non-refundable unless defective or incorrect due to an error on our part.
To request a refund, please contact us via email or phone, providing a description of the issue and your order confirmation or receipt. Refunds, if approved, will be issued using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed.
While we make every effort to ensure excellent results, individual outcomes will vary. Whimsy by Mel LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith discussions, and if unresolved, may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
