Sisterlocks™ Starter Package

Starting at $1000.00 USD

Step into a new chapter of your natural hair journey with a service designed to be as unique and radiant as you are.

The Consultation (1 hour)

Your journey begins with an intimate, thoughtful session where Mel will:

• Explore your hair history, concerns, and scalp needs

• Share what you can expect from her, and what to expect during your Sisterlocks™ establishment and maintenance journey

• Answer all of your questions with care and clarity

After your conversation, Mel will create several sample Sisterlocks™. This allows both of you to see and feel how your hair responds. From there, she determines your ideal sizing and locking pattern based on your texture, curl configuration, and overall condition.

You’ll receive a Starter Kit with bands and Sisterlocks™ shampoo. Mel will guide you through proper shampooing techniques with the bands in place. Over the following weeks, you’ll shampoo weekly and return with your sample locks, which will serve as the guide for your final pattern at establishment.

Your $40 consultation fee is applied to the total package cost.

The Establishment (Typically 10–35 hours)

With patience, artistry, and precision, Mel will create your Sisterlocks™, honoring both your natural beauty and your lifestyle needs.

Establishment sessions typically last between 10–35+ hours, depending on your hair length and density. To ensure your comfort, five wellness breaks are thoughtfully included—bring a book, your crochet needles, or simply relax with your feet up. Don’t forget to bring a meal, snacks, and beverages, though herbal teas and fresh fruit are always provided by Whimsy to enhance your luxurious, personalized experience.

First Retightening (3-5 hours)

About 4–5 weeks later, you’ll return for your first retightening. This ensures your Sisterlocks™ settle in smoothly, remain healthy, and continue to flourish.

This full package includes approximately 30–35+ hours of dedicated artistry.

Mel’s Sisterlocks® Page

All new clients must schedule a consultation before starting Sisterlocks™️. If you’re ready to book your Sisterlocks™️ Package, please start by scheduling your consultation on our “Reserve a Session” page. Then, book your Establishment appointment for approximately two weeks afterward to give yourself time to experience life with the starter locks you’ll receive during your consultation.

Microlocks Installation (Part Sizes .5”- .75”)

$450.00-$750.00

Installment sessions typically last between 10–25+ hours, depending on your hair length and density. To ensure your comfort, wellness breaks are thoughtfully included—bring a book, your crochet needles, or simply relax with your feet up. Don’t forget to bring a meal, snacks, and beverages, though herbal teas and fresh fruit are always provided by Whimsy to enhance your luxurious, personalized experience.

Consultation ONLY

1 hour @ $40.00

Curious, but not quite ready to commit?

Our Consultation ONLY Session is a gentle first step for those who wish to explore before beginning their Loc(k) Journey. This dedicated time invites us to talk about your hair, lifestyle, and vision, while you discern which type of Loc(k)s are best for you. Should you decide to move forward, your consultation fee will be applied toward your Sisterlocks™ Package.

Sisterlocks™ Retightening Session

$200.00 USD

Re-tightening sessions with Mel are a refined 3-5 hour experience, every 4-5 weeks, tailored to your hair’s new growth and any new loc(k)s that need to be formed. For clients with slower hair growth, retightening intervals may be extended to every 6–8 weeks.

The first session is included in the $1000 Sisterlocks™ package, helping your locks stay flawless and healthy. Subsequent sessions are $200, ensuring your hair remains beautifully maintained.

Traditional Loc/Microlock Refinement

$120.00 USD

Loc Refinement sessions with Mel are scheduled every 5 weeks and designed to nurture and maintain the beauty of your traditional and larger sized microloc(k)s. Sessions are tailored to your hair’s growth & unique needs, ensuring your loc(k)s remain healthy, polished, and refined. Sessions typically last 2-4 hours, depending on new growth and any loc(k)s that may need adjustment.

This personalized care provides a meticulous, elevated experience for maintaining your signature style—without gels, waxes, or pomades. Only expert interlocking techniques are employed.
